Money touches so much of ourselves; our history, class, power, family, fear, ambition, care. When we ignore the emotional layer, we overwork, avoid, or freeze. When we only talk feelings and ignore structure, nothing changes practically.
DearMoney brings both together.
Start by discovering your money archetype: a short quiz that names the pattern underneath your relationship with money.
In small groups, with rigour and kindness, we look at your story and your spreadsheets. The aim is steadiness, clarity, and decisions you can stand behind.

Gauri van Gulik has spent two decades working as a leader in human rights, philanthropy, and social change.
Again and again, she saw something we rarely discuss in our spaces: brilliant, responsible people carrying deep anxiety about money. People who could hold a room, run a campaign, move donors and governments. And who would freeze, avoid, or spiral the moment money came up personally.
As someone who struggled with her own relationship with money for most of her life, she knew what was missing: a space to look at it without shame, and the practical tools to actually change something. No one had brought together the emotional and the practical in a way that actually leads to meaningful change.
She built DearMoney for that reason. And she will facilitate the June cohort herself.
June 2026 cohort · Application deadline: May 15, 2026 · Time to fill-in the form: 4-5 minutes.
"I've come out of DearMoney feeling much more excited and much less anxious about my finances, with a plan that feels doable and joyful."

Six modules over 12 weeks, designed to transform your relationship with money by strengthening both the emotional and practical sides.
Why do you feel such anxiety when it comes to money? We dive in and ask ourselves a series of questions that uproot where some of our beliefs, fears, and shame around money come from. This work helps us let go of money beliefs that do not serve us and start to imagine a different way forward.
Instead of focusing first on expenses, budgets and cutting costs, we take this session to dream. How would you picture your version of wealth? We explore the areas and things that spark deep joy and contentment for you. Health, relationships and time are all examples of things that could be central to your vision. The aim is learning what we value most so that those things shape how we set up our finances, not the other way around.
Let's translate those deep feelings of joy, that dream of a rich life, into actual, achievable goals. We reflect on what short, medium and long term financial goals make up your dream financial plan. We also go through your progress on "The Big Four" questions you will need to answer to make it all a reality.
Here's where we get into numbers to make your goals more concrete. This module helps you set a clearer, specific goal around two things we all need: an emergency fund and to be able to live well when we're older. This gives you clarity and some peace of mind to then build around.
How will you actually translate your dreams and goals into your financial set-up? What accounts do you need and how will they work together? We create a picture together of what your ideal financial infrastructure is to set yourself up for the best possible outcomes. We focus on best practices, but you will create your own version that works for you.
Time to take stock and reflect on where you are now and what you'd like to explore next. We go through what we have learned and document the progress you have all gone through. It is important to recognise and celebrate when we have come a long way. We ask you to reflect on the goals you have set, and any fears or unanswered questions you are still holding on to.
